I honestly didn’t know what a thyroid was and had no idea what it did for my body before my diagnosis but I am not one to give up that easily. In 2016, after shedding many tears and clumps of hair, I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s Thyroiditis - an autoimmune disease that attacks the thyroid.
